Stream Restoration

HALIS has completed several aerial topographic surveys for land mitigation sites and wetlands. The need for these projects stem from companies that supervise mitigation banks or that have needs for locating future mitigation sites.

Though not necessarily similar in purpose, stream restoration projects completed through aerial methods require nearly identical flights, control, and deliverables as mitigation sites.  Generally high density flights with aerial photography and limited planimetric features, our experience providing datasets for either end purpose provides a smooth workflow from beginning to end.

Usually the work scope for these types of projects includes 1’ contours, planimetric features, orthoimagery, and other derivatives of the LiDAR scan such as digital elevation models. We have also provided change detection ESRI layers which allows clients to monitor cut/fill volumes for stream restoration projects.
